Our K–12 Curriculum
Here at Park County School District #6, we measure school improvement and success through curriculum, assessment, gifted and talented, professional development, and federal/state programs. It is our goal, through collaboration with students, staff, and parents, to provide an outstanding educational opportunity for every student.
Our K–12 curriculum is aligned to the Wyoming State Standards. Following the Curriculum Leadership Institute process, we continue to unpack the standards to better understand our teaching and student learning requirements. From the unpacked standards, teachers create innovative lessons, activities, and projects that support student proficiency.
Park 6 focuses on the following professional development areas:
- Curriculum Leadership Institute
- Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
As a service in providing re-certification support to staff, our district tracks professional development (PD) activities and submits the qualifying hours to the state Professional Teaching Standards Board (PTSB).
Please contact the Curriculum Department for more information about professional development activities, evaluations, and requirements.
