Our K–12 Curriculum

Here at Park County School District #6, we measure school improvement and success through curriculum, assessment, gifted and talented, professional development, and federal/state programs. It is our goal, through collaboration with students, staff, and parents, to provide an outstanding educational opportunity for every student.

Our K–12 curriculum is aligned to the Wyoming State Standards. Following the Curriculum Leadership Institute process, we continue to unpack the standards to better understand our teaching and student learning requirements. From the unpacked standards, teachers create innovative lessons, activities, and projects that support student proficiency.

Professional Development

As a service in providing re-certification support to staff, our district tracks professional development (PD) activities and submits the qualifying hours to the state Professional Teaching Standards Board (PTSB). Fourteen (14) contact hours are required to earn one PTSB credit.

District PD forms must be completed in accordance with the requirements included on them in order to qualify for submission to PTSB. Each year's database begins in June and ends May 31; the database is submitted in late June or early July.
