For families that were on free and reduced lunch last school year 2020-21, you may have extra monies. Did you check your P-EBT balances around Thanksgiving?

This past summer's relief payments were deposited around Thanksgiving into early December. We at Park 6 do not administrate this program so please read on if you have questions or need to contact someone to further discuss.

FAQ:

Q: Who is eligible for P-EBT Summer Benefits?

A: Summer P-EBT benefits are available to all children who were eligible to receive free or reduced-price meals during school year 2020-21. This includes school children who received P-EBT benefits during the school year and those who were eligible for free or reduced-price school meals but did not receive P-EBT benefits in the last month of the school year because they attended school in person and had access to a meal service at school. It also includes children who are newly determined eligible for free or reduced-price meals during the covered summer period (June 1 – August 31) if they attended a school during the 2020-2021 school year that participates in the National School Lunch Program. Summer P-EBT benefits will also be available to children under 6 who are enrolled in SNAP during the summer.

Q: How is eligibility for summer P-EBT determined?

A: DFS will complete a direct issuance to all eligible children based on data received from the WDE and DFS. This benefit is available without an application.

Q: How long is the covered summer period?

A: The covered summer period shall not be more than 90 calendar days that follow a school year during which there was a public health emergency declaration. In Wyoming, the covered summer period is from June 1, 2021 to August 31, 2021. A summer issuance should be available in November 2021.

Q: How many P-EBT benefit days are in the covered summer period and what is the daily value?

A: The number of P-EBT benefit days equals the number of weekdays during the covered summer period, which the U.S. Standard has been determined to be 55 weekdays. The daily value is $6.82. Therefore, the standard summer benefit is $375 per eligible child (55 days at $6.82 per day).

Q: How do I receive my P-EBT benefits?

A: P-EBT card will be mailed and addressed to your child(ren) separately with instructions on how to activate and use the card.  KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR YOUR CARD!  A postcard was also sent with information to eligible child(ren).

For households currently on SNAP that have an active Wyoming EBT card, P-EBT benefits will be loaded on to your current EBT card. If you no longer have access to your EBT card, please contact the EBT vendor, FIS, customer service at 1-877-290-9401, www.ebtedge.com, or on your mobile device using the ebtEDGE app, to request a card replacement.

If your household has never received a SNAP card in Wyoming, an EBT card will be mailed to you separately with instructions on how to activate and use the card. It can take about seven (7) business days to arrive at your mailing address.
