Opportunities for Park 6, Home School, and ESA Students
Park County School District 6 is committed to providing inclusive educational opportunities that meet the needs of all students and families. Below is a summary of eligibility and participation guidelines based on student enrollment type:
1. Park 6 Registered Students
Students enrolled full-time at a Park 6 school are considered Park 6 Registered Students. These students are eligible to:
Register for a full schedule of classes that fulfill grade-level and graduation requirements.
Participate fully in all Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA)-sanctioned activities, as well as all district-sponsored clubs, intracurricular (cocurricular), and extracurricular programs.
2. Home School Students (Not Receiving ESA)
Students officially registered as home school students with Park 6 and not receiving the Steamboat Legacy Scholarship (Education Savings Account) may:
Enroll in and attend K-8 grade classes within Park 6 and up to two (2) classes per semester at Cody High School, including courses with intra-curricular (co-curricular) components.
Fully participate in WHSAA-sanctioned activities, along with district extra-curricular and co-curricular offerings. (Including Middle School extra-curricular activities)
To maintain eligibility, these students must meet all academic, attendance, and conduct requirements for their selected classes and activities.
3. Home School Students Receiving the Steamboat Legacy Scholarship (ESA)
Students participating in a home-based education program funded by the ESA shall not be enrolled in publicly funded classes or coursework as outlined in Wyoming law.
However, these students may participate in WHSAA-sanctioned extra-curricular activities offered by the district, provided they meet all district and WHSAA requirements. (Including Middle School extra-curricular activities)
If you have questions or need help determining your student's eligibility for participation or class enrollment, please contact your local school or the Park 6 district office. We are here to support every student’s educational journey!
