Early Childhood Education
The purpose of the early childhood community liaison is to build a partnership with families, early childhood providers, and the school district to ensure the children's readiness skills for entering kindergarten.
PRESCHOOL LIAISON PROGRAMS
All programs are free and open to children of all ages! No RSVP needed. Attending any of these programs is a great way to support and extend the learning your child is already doing at his/her preschool or at home. Please note that parents must stay with their child(ren) during these programs.
December 3 - Preschool Tuesday at Eastside from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
December 5 - Math-tastic Thursday at Sunset from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m.
December 11 - Book Club Wednesday at Livingston from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m.
December 13 - Preschool Friday at Eastside from 8:30 a.m. until Noon
Book Club Wednesday - A chance for parents and children to learn and play together while focusing on early literacy skills, such as rhyming, letters, and sounds. This program is at Livingston from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday each month.
Math-tastic Thursday - An opportunity for parents and children to learn and play together while focusing on early math skills, such as counting, sorting, and identifying shapes. This program is held at Sunset from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month.
Preschool Tuesday and Preschool Friday - A place for parents and children to learn and play together while using all of the materials in the classroom, such as the kitchen area, car center, art table, book corner, blocks, puzzles, games, etc. Preschool Tuesday is at Eastside from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Preschool Friday is at Eastside from 8:30 a.m. until noon on the second and fourth Friday of each month. Arrive and leave whenever is convenient for you during either program.
